Our Mission

We may all have different last names, come from different generations, or live in different places, but we are one family with one cause: Defeating ALS.

Through regular meetings, community events, sponsorships, donations, and volunteer support, we turn hope into action.

One Family One Cause is an independent family-led nonprofit fundraiser. References to ALS support and research are mission-focused and do not imply endorsement by any outside organization.

How We Help

One Family One Cause was created to honor family members lost to ALS and to support families currently facing the disease.

Our events raise money for emergency financial assistance for family support. Every donation helps us provide practical support while keeping the larger fight for a cure moving forward.

Emergency Assistance Program

The Minnesota ALS Emergency Assistance Program provides fast, practical support for families facing urgent, ALS‑related challenges. Through community fundraising and event sponsorships, we offer small, rapid‑response microgrants to help stabilize unexpected situations.

These microgrants address immediate needs such as equipment repairs, home access issues, caregiver emergencies, transportation barriers, and other time‑sensitive expenses that impact safety and quality of life.
